The occasion of our visit was the monthly visit of a Gourmet Group that we belong to. The only downside to the day was that I thought I knew where Tourtour was but when I got to where I thought it was it wasn’t there! The GPS was switched on and 30 minutes later we arrived, luckily just before the meal.
The unassuming restaurant has a dining room but no outside terrace but is quite nice, however the food and service was truly amazing.
We had the Tasting Menu which was made up of 6 courses plus coffee and little cakes. At the end we were truly bloated.
Course 1. Terrine of Fois Gras with truffles in an apple jelly
Course 2. A mousse of prawns on a bed of green spaghetti
Course 3. A small piece of fish with artichokes in Olive Oil
Course 4. Quail in puff pastry with a wine sauce
Course 5. Soft Goats cheese with honey
Course6 An assortment of little deserts
Followed by petit fours and coffee.
The description of the menu leaves out the decoration and the quality of the cooking but they were both truly artistic.
Would recommend to anyone!
