We moved to France over 27 years ago and love the French life style. A home we have always spoken English with the kids, and as they spoke French at school and with their friends they feel at ease in both languages which is fantastic. However as the years pass I personally feel more and more English. Strange isn't it? I am not alone in this as apparently it’s quite common in many expats. Just the other day I was listening to the LBC London talk radio station. They were interviewing an English women, who after living in the States for more than 40 years, dreamt of one thing, and yes, you guessed it............... moving back to Britain. .
Talking of English radio I have just recently downloaded a fantastic app for my iphone. It’s the
Tunin.fm, an internet radio receiver. This now means i can listen to all the English radio stations in the car or even when i am out walking Lady. Perfect, but it makes me even more home sick.
