The trip entails a trip of an hour and a half from my home in Grimaud to Nice Airport. The airport is made up of two terminals and the flight I normally take is the Easyjet flight to Liverpool. All Easyjet flights to the UK go from Terminal 2. I have been taking this flight now for almost 10 years and have always found the airline fantastic both in price but also in punctuality and on board service. They always have a smile.
Sometimes I see Stelios, who lives in Monaco, on the flight and he mixes with the other passengers and is always very friendly.
There is a choice of car parks with a choice of Guarded, Short Stay, Normal and Long Stay. The parking is very expensive and if you can get somebody to drop you off or collect it is much better.
The car hire at Nice Airport is very busy in the summer and what ever you book they try to get you to upgrade. Don’t fall for it as they usually upgrade you anyway as they rarely have the cheaper cars available. Another tip is too check the car with the rental company, on your returning it, as if not they will charge you for damage you have not done! Get a signature to say it isn’t damaged! Else you will get a big deduction off your credit card without being asked!!
Whereas I love the UK when I return and see the beautiful countryside and sea here I fall in love with the Cote D’Azur over again.
