Le Jardin Imperial- Marine de Cogolin

Le Jardin Imperial- Marine de Cogolin
Coming from a port city in the UK, I was brought up on Cantonese Chinese food. The reason that Chinese restaurants were more prevalent in port cities was that when the Chinese ships docked in UK ports the cooks would jump ship to start restaurants, probably just from little shops at first, but later this developed in a China Town area. This is obvious in my own home town, Liverpool, where the restaurants in China Town still have shop fronts and not posh restaurant fronts.
You can imagine my shock when I started living in the Var and finding some really bad Chinese restaurants were all I could find!
Things changed when a Vietnamese restaurant called Le Jardin Imperial opened in Marine de Cogolin. The food in this restaurant is really good, be it their Lacquered Ribs, their Wan Ton Soup or their Sui Mei.
You may not know these dishes but believe me they are good! The choice is amazing with something to please any taste.
This restaurant is open for most of the year and is heavily frequented by the French. Best to book!
