One thing I love about Sainte Maxime during the summer is a chance to see my kids playing basketball. Last night there was an open basketball session down in the local gym (completely free I may add) and so I spent a great evening watching the ‘ballers’ in action.
Alongside Andrew in the photo is Tamzin a childhood friend. Both are in the Great Britain -20’s squad and both will be off to new adventures this September. Andrew to play in the British basketball league for the newly formed BBL Essex Pirates but will also be studying for his Sport and Science degree, Tamzin is off to play for Kent State University in America and will be studying Sports management and business.
Even if they don’t see each other from one year to the next, when they do meet up it’s like they had never been apart.
