We have been visiting it over the last few years as it is open all year end. The restaurant is shaped like a boat and is owned by people with a Norwegian background. It is always busy and has a great following with the locals due to its reasonably priced food and its service.
We went today to enjoy the view with some English family who had been down for the week and I have to say the food and company was great!
I started with BBQ chicken wings followed by Veal in a cream and mushroom sauce. My wife started with Aubergine flowers cooked in batter and followed with a large portion of Lamb chops, beautifully cooked. Our friends had a mammoth plate of seafood tagliatelle and the biggest piece of lasagna I have ever seen.
With a bottle and half of red wine and one of Rose the bill was around €100 for the four of us. Not bad!
It is usual for boats to moor off the beach at Pampellone and each of the restaurants have a boat taxi to collect them and bring them to and from the restaurant. It was pretty choppy when we were there and the boats were having a rough ride, as you can see from the picture above, and the clients getting pretty wet!
