The Marrakech Restaurant

For many months we have been passing the Hotel Rotunde at Croix Val Mere en route to visit my mother in law. This week we decided that we would visit their Moroccan restaurant the Marraketch.
Moroccan food has never been my number one food but I quite like their Tajines so I agreed to go.
When we arrived at 7.30 the restaurant was pretty empty but I was impressed by the décor which was a mixture of Moroccan and modern with a lovely bar with flat screen TV s on either side.
By 8 p.m. the restaurant was filling up and there was a feeling of expectation that I could not understand!
My starter was the Moroccan version of a Samoza which was delicious and my wife had a lovely pancake dish full of cheese. For the main course I had a lamb Tajine with raisins and almonds with a generous serving of couscous. Very nice and very tasty.
At 9 p.m. the reason for the expectation became clear with the arrival of a beautiful young girl doing a belly dance! That was spicier than the food!!
This restaurant is well worth a visit as the staff are terrific, the food is good, and the weekend only entertainment is excellent.
Incidentally our dog was sitting in amazement as the girl did her dance in front of her. She must think we humans are very strange!
