A parting shot before I go to the UK for a few weeks!
What is the most impressive dish I have eaten recently? Well it has to be one I had in the Café de France in Grimaud where they specialize in Cassolette de Pecheurs or Fish Pie. This comes as a very large bowl with a lot of pastry on top. It always reminds me of the nursery rhyme, “ Four and Twenty Blackbirds” as when one breaks into the delicious pastry topping one might expect the birds to fly out, however all you actually get is steam!
Inside is a delicious, thick, fish soup full of pieces of fish and sea food. Amazing! However don’t eat an entrée else you will never eat it all.
