Heavy Rain

For people who enjoy the summer in the South of France and who have fond memories of basking in the sun on a lounger with a drink next to them please remember that it has another side!
For the last week or two we have had a series of storms where the rain can only be described as tropically heavy and with thunder and lightning! The roads have been flooded and the roads are like rivers.
This has not been every day but it has certainly been for days on end! At the moment we have the last of our visitors for the summer and what, exactly, do you do with two children when you cannot even get out of the front door! Catastrophic!
This weather is certainly not normal; however we are forecast for sun for the next 5 days to make up for it. I cannot wait!
We managed 9 holes of golf this morning before the rain started again so must not complain, except about my golf! I only seem to be able to play half decently when the sun shines which probably explains why my golf clubs in the UK have only been used once since I bought them 3 years ago!
Some of my friends were in St Tropez when the rain started and by the time they wanted to return to St Maxime they found the coast road was flooded and had to take a very long detour, and in deed wondered if they would get home at all.
