THAI BOAT

For several year we have been popping into the Thai Boat take away, in Port Grimaud, for an excellent choice of Thai food to give my wife a respite having to cook and it has always proven well cooked and a great choice of different meats and sauces.
We suddenly discovered that above the take away they have an excellent restaurant called the Thai Colonial run by a great guy called Charlie whose family run a string of Thai restaurants accross the Cote D'Azure. He was very welcoming and the decor was traditional Thai.
The food was indeed excellent. My wife had a lovely Gamba Curry and I had Salt and Pepper Squid which was tender and spicy. My wife's curry was light in taste and was infused with many spices. Yummy!!
To accompany the meal was a lovely mixed Thai salad and fried rice. I would recommend this restaurant as being the best Asian restaurant I have experienced in the region.
