Cafe De Paris St Tropez

The Cafe de Paris is situated in the centre of the port in St Tropez and is just below the balcony of the Sube hotel. In summer its terrace, which is situated just infront of where the biggest boats moor, is a ideal place to see all the glitz of St Tropez.
When friends asked us to dine there with them last night I groaned as the last time I went there
I thought it was overpriced and anyway St Tropez in February is dead especially at night.
I was stunned to find the place buzzing with both young and older people, the restaurant fully booked and the bar very busy!
We had a great meal and the prices were average for the area, which is never cheap! we all had very tender fillet steaks and I finished with Pain Perdue ( lost bread). This was actually bread in a delicious sauce with raisins and ice cream, yummy!!
As we left the rest of St Tropez was absolutely deserted and closed except for Joseph's two restaurants and the Thai restaurant on the front. Joseph's was pretty empty and was a real contrast to the buzz at Cafe de Paris.
Cafe de Paris is also famous for its Sushi and Shashimi. Recommended
